Amazingly enough, it went really smoothly o.O They didn't have "Death of Necromancer" at my fave bookstore but they did have "City of Bones"...Hum. They also had the second volume of George Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. Humhum. They STILL had "Sorceress and Cygnet" by McKillip which I really wanted to read, but the price was STILL a bit too steep for my taste. The deal is... Patricia McKillip writes good books, but they never exceed 200 or so pages. And "S&C" is one of her older ones (it's been reprinted), so it's about 180 pages and the font is so... ahem, stretched, that if it had been printed normally, the book would have ended up with about 150 pages... and it costs 260r or so -.- Which is the publisher's price, I know, but I'd rather buy a used edition and save myself the grieve (I was secretly hoping they'd put a discount on the book, because, well, it's been lying on the shelves for nearly a year or even more, but nooo... ;_;).

And if you think this is bad... it was honestly much worse about five years ago, when books were cheaper, used editions were not so tricky to come across and I got the loveliest hardcover edition of five Nero Wolfe novels by Rex Stout for an outrageously low price (Archie kicks ass ^_^) Oie, the memories... *_*
